We believe in best practices always and therefore employ and retain the best talents.Job Objectives The Network and Communication engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and designing communication networks within HealthPlus. The goal is to ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructure in order to provide maximum performance for their users, such as staff, clients, customers and suppliers. Networks can include: computer; voice; firewall, internet and computing technologies, networking and telecommunications, radio, Biometrics. Key elements of the role Report to the Team Lead, IT Operations Responsible for the Communications Network Architecture Design, implement, manage, support and document wired and wireless campus networks Design, implement, manage, support and document the campus voice infrastructure Troubleshoot, isolate and resolve network issues. Complete projects and tasks independently and with limited direct supervision Develop, provide and review business case justification for communications and network projects. Evaluate emerging and new technologies, participate in product and vendor evaluation. Develop technical studies in his field. Capture stakeholder's requirement and articulate technical requirements to meet business requirements. Assist Pipelines in contract negotiation and procurement management. Perform day-to-day maintenance activities on the LAN devices such as administration, configuration, upgrade and monitoring. Ensure the accuracy of firewall filter rules and security policies. Ensure Plant Networks & Systems security compliance with applicable security engineering standards and procedures Provide Plant Networks & Systems Security requirements. Ensures the successful installation, integration, and deployment of Pipelines automation applications. Desired Qualities Desired Skills & Experience B.Sc. Computer Engineering or in any science CCNA, Comptia Network+ Minimum of 3-5 years related experience Knowledge of Emerging Technology Data Management Enterprise Architecture Information Security Information Technology Policy & Planning Information Technology Service Operations Network & Telecommunications Technology Software Engineering & Development Systems Administration Systems Analysis & Design Web-Based Technologies Health Infomatics Business Knowledge Have hands-on experience with the configuration, implementation and support of telecommunications/voice networks Experience should include heavy Cisco usage such as Cisco Unity, Cisco QoS, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and related. Skills with VLAN truncking, circuit troubleshooting, infrastructure issues, firmware updates, and hardware & software maintenance are also important. Ability to adapt to a variety of platforms is essential. Communication and interpersonal skills must be top-notch to work with team members as well as internal / external clients.
